“I am not the physical body.”
In the true sense, it’s only a very temporary, transient, perishable, mortal frame. One day it was created, and one day it’s going to be destroyed.
So, “Who am I in the true sense?”
Atma (soul), the soul which is eternal, which was never given birth to, and which will never end and cease to be. Even after God-realization, the atma (soul) will remain to be what it is today. Even after God-realization the soul does not turn into God.
God is God. God is the generator, operator, and destructor of power. God remains to be God, and the soul remains to be soul, and maya (material energy) remains to be maya (material energy).
They’re all constantly nitya (eternal), sanatan tattva (eternal principles). ‘Nitya’ means ‘never ever undergoing a change’. So once, if our minds can accept this philosophy and this philosophical truth as the truth, then (we) proceed further. But even if your minds fail to accept this as the ultimate truth, even then (we) proceed further to listen to what I’m saying. Don’t just get stuck there questioning,
“How am I the body? How am I the soul and not the body? How is it that the soul never undergoes a change? After God-realization I’ve read and I’ve heard that the soul becomes God.”
Don’t argue. Don’t debate. Don’t question. Don’t think anything. ‘Listening to the philosophy’ means (that) a very good listener would just open the heart and the mind, receive the message, and then later on sit down and contemplate on every point. Okay? Not now. (Contemplate it later.)
Just like the cow takes all the grass and then later on sits under the shade of a tree, takes the cud out and chews it, and pushes it back. So likewise, just receive the knowledge, the philosophical knowledge at this moment (in the present time)…so,
“I am an individual soul, and this soul is a shakti (power), Divine Power, very subtle power, a minute expression, ansh (fraction) of the Supreme sarva Shaktiman (All-Powerful One).”
