Why Radha Rani’s Eyes Are Partially Open

Sushree Gopeshwari Devi Ji

If it’s a partially open lotus flower, the partially open petals are like the very curly eyelids and the eyelashes of Kishoriji (Radha).

Thus, Kishoriji’s eyes are always like the petals of a partially open lotus flower. Just very slightly open, and full of Divine love nectar. They are love-laden, Divine love–laden eyes.

If She were to open them fully, then the whole world would drown in that love. Kishoriji’s eyes are always, you will see it’s got that shape like the partially opened lotus flower, those petals. And the eyelids and the eyelashes are like those very curly petals that are just partially open.

Just try to do your meditation, your roopdhyan (devotional remembrance), on this. Due to the glow, the shine, the luster that comes from bottom of Kishoriji’s eyelashes, and the glow that comes from Her moon-like face, Her radiant moonlike face, the collective glow that shines from beneath those partially opened eyes reveals white and slight red, reddish lines, threads, in the corners of Kishoriji’s eyes - he red threads.

That is why Radharani’s eyes are likened to nectar, which is all filled with Divine love nectar, amrit, and vish (poison). When She glances, and when Her glance falls on anyone, be it Shamsundar (Shri Krishna), or Brahmani (consort of Brahma), Rudrani (consort of Shiv), Brahma, Vishnu, the greatest of personalities, or even any individual who has done the sadhana (spiritual practice) and has won the heart of Radharani, and is so blessed and fortunate to receive the grace of Kishoriji, that once-only glance falls upon the devotee who is ready to receive it, everyone—from A to Z, from Shamsundar Shri Krishna, the Supreme Almighty Lord, to everyone—they are all transported into the highest state of samadhi (deep spiritual absorption), prem samadhi (absorption in Divine love). They even fall; they cannot take it—that love, that Divine nectar that is flowing.

And the poison, the vish? The poison is that once when the glance of Radharani falls on anyone, then for the second glance, for that second glance, that devotee, or that personality, or that supreme divine beloved Sree Krishna himself, Supreme Brahm, they become desperate to see those divine love laden intoxicating eyes again and again to drink that divine nectar.

The heart starts to cry out in pain. There’s so much pain. These are the pangs in separation, in the longing, in the want to see those eyes, to drink the divine nectar.

So it is doing the work of a poison, Vish.
