Shri Ram descended on this earth to deliver many people. We also saw that. At that time, we did not recognize Ram, and we were doing kusang, doing nāmaparādh.
He went, but He left His names, His pastimes, His attributes, His abodes, and His devotees. Now we are benefited.
सुमिरि सुमिरि नर उतरहिं पारा।
Sumiri sumiri nar utariṇ para.
Now we will remember the names of God, the attributes of God, the pastimes of God, and in this way, we can also realize God. That’s why we all are here today. We are celebrating Ram Naumi. Why? So that we can remember God.
We can remember His names, we can remember His pastimes, we can remember His attributes, and thus we can purify our mind. Because when we remember God, who is Divine Personality, then our mind gets purified. And when we are not remembering God, naturally our mind is roaming in this material world. As soon as this mind comes into this world, the effect of maya on our mind starts, and then we become full of anger, passion, greed, etc. We start doing sins only. So this is the grace, the extreme and causeless grace, causeless mercy of Shri Ram, that He descended on this earth amongst us, and He gave a message that ‘I alone am yours! I belong to you! I only belong to you!’
There is no one else in this world who is your relative. They are the relatives of the body, and their relationships are not permanent. It is based on selfish motives only, and it is very temporary. Don’t trust them.
“You are Mine, so come towards Me. “ So remember God.
