Radha Govind Geet: What is Sadhana?

Shushree Diwakari Didi

Shree Maharaj Ji tells us in the Radha Govind Geet what sadhana is.

Sochanā hi sādhanā hai Govind Radhe, Bār bār sochanā hi unse milā de.

Sochana, meaning to remember, to think, to meditate. And baar baar sochana, when we think again and again repeatedly, when our remembrance becomes unbroken, then we will find Them.

Hari Guru hi hai mere Govind Radhe, Ei nīt sochanā upasanā batā de.

Hari Guru hi hai mere, Hari and Guru alone are mine, and nobody else, no one else except Hari and Guru. Ei nīt sochanā, to ruminate on this, this reality, that is upasanā. Shri Maharaj Ji tells us, “Upasanā means to come close, to come close to Them.” So that thinking will bring us closer to Them.

And how would we practice that sadhanā? Who will think of Hari Guru? Who should think of Hari Guru as ours? It is the mind. It is the mind that has to think that Hari Guru are mine. It is the mind that has to practice devotion.

It is the mind that has to surrender. Everything depends on the mind.
