Mere prāṇādhār hain, piya pyārī ke pādāravind.

The lotus feet of Beloved Krishna and dearest Radha Rani are the refuge of my weary soul.

Pyārī ke pādāravind, Bihārī ke pādāravind. Gore pad Rādhikā ke, neele pad Govind.
I seek shelter of Shree Radha-Krishna’s lotus feet. The lotus feet of Shree Radha are fair in color, whereas those of Shree Krishna are blue.

Mere nain chakor haiṇ, dou pad nakh maṇi chand. Dou pad nakh maṇi, chandrikā pai vārauṁ chand.
My eyes are like the ‘chakor’ bird, fascinated by the moon-like effulgence emanating from the toenails of Shree Radha-Krishna’s lotus feet. The moon is put to shame looking at the effulgence of Shree Radha-Krishna’s toenails.

Chuvat rahat nit, dou pad premānand. Premānand biṇdu par, vārauṁ koṭi brahmānand.
Bliss of divine love flows continually from these lotus feet. Immeasurable bliss of Brahm can be sacrificed on one single drop of Shree Radha and Krishna’s bliss.

Brahm roop ānaṇd, Nandnandānand kand. Gopī bane ḍoleṁ Shambhu, aiso hai ya premānand.
Brahm is bliss, whereas Shree Krishna is the essence of bliss. So sweet is this Divine love-bliss that Lord Shiv becomes a Gopi to drink it.

Dou ur phaṁse dou, premānand ke phand. Dou hṛidayāravind, base dou pad band.
Shree Radha-Krishna are controlled by love of each other. The lotus feet of Shree Radha dwell in the heart of Shree Krishna and the lotus feet of Shree Krishna dwell in the heart of Radha Rani.

Dou gun gāveṁ dou, dou dṛig paṭ band. Dou gati jāneṁ dou, kahā jāneṁ shruti chhand.
Both sing praises of one another with eyes closed in meditation. Only Radha and Krishna know Themselves; the Vedas fail to comprehend Them.

Brahmānandī yāchaiṁ jāko, pād padma makarand. Mero man haihaiṁ kab, pād padma ko milind.
Even they who have attained the bliss of the impersonal Brahm, crave the nectar flowing from the lotus feet of Shree Radha-Krishna. When will my mind become a bee for the nectar of these lotus feet?

Lālī ke āge na chale Lāl jū ko chhal chhand. Lālī jab mān kareṁ, Lāl kī ho vāṇī band.
Lord Krishna’s ability to do the impossible (using His potency Yogmaya) is rendered useless before Shree Radha Rani. When Radha Rani is displeased with Him, Shree Krishna becomes so afraid that He is unable to speak.

Lāl jab mān kareṁ, Lālī ḍoleṁ nirdvand. Lālī lakhi Lāl jū ko, bhūli jāyaṁ dand phand.
But when Shree Krishna feigns displeasure, Radha Rani remains unaffected and goes about as usual. The mischievous Lord Krishna forgets all His cleverness in front of Radha Rani.

Lāl bhaje Lālī āveṁ, Lālī bhaje Nandnandan. Dhanya bhūp Vṛishabhānu, dhanya dhanya bhūp Nand.
When one calls out to Shree Krishna, Radha Rani comes running, and when one calls out to Radha Rani, Shree Krishna comes running. Blessed are King Bhanu and King Nand.

Lālī rājeṁ Bhānu ank, Lāl rājeṁ ank Nand. Lālī Lāl rājeṁ nit mere hṛidayāravind.
Radha is seated in the lap of King Bhanu, and Shyamsundar, in the lap of Nand may Radha and Krishna always dwell in my heart!

Lālī pag dhoveṁ Lāl, salil sutā Kalind. Patitan man dhoveṁ, dhyāveṁ jo pādāravind.
Lord Krishna washes the lotus feet of Radha Rani with the water of river Yamuna. Sinful minds are purified by meditating on the lotus feet of Shree Radha-Krishna.

Lālī chaleṁ hans chāl, Lāl chaleṁ jyoṁ gajand. Gwāl bāl chāl chaleṁ, māno senā kapi vrind.
Radha Rani’s walk is graceful like that of a swan, and Thakur Ji’s intoxicating gait resembles that of an elephant. Seeing the cowherd boys’ walking, one is reminded of an army of monkeys.

Prem ke ādhīn raheṁ, shruti kahe svachchhand. Shyām piyeṁ Shyāmānand, Shyāmā piyeṁ Shyāmānand.
Described as being independent’ by the Vedas, Shree Radha and Shree Krishna are in fact controlled by love. Shyamsundar drinks the nectar of Shyama, and Shyama, the nectar of Shyamsundar.

Shyāmā Shyāmānand piyeṁ, Braj gopī gop vrind. Shyāmā Shyām bharose hauṁ to, soūṁ tāni nirdvand.
The milkmaidens and cowherds of Braj drink the combined nectar of Shyama and Shyamsundar. Relying fully on Shyama and Shyam, I sleep without a worry in the world.

Sorahuṁ singār pyārī, naṭ vesh Nandnandan. Pyārī jū te pyāro pyāro, pyārī pyārī Govind.
Shree Radha is adorned with sixteen embellishments, and Lord Krishna is dressed in the sporty style of an acrobat. Shyamsundar is more attractive than Radha and Radha is more beautiful than Shyamsundar.

Hāy pyāre kaheṁ pyārī, hāy pyārī, Govind. Pyārī lādinī shakti so, jāko dās Govind.
(In an extremely heightened state of divine love) Radha Rani cries out for Herself, saying, “O pyari, where are you?” and Lord Krishna cries out similarly, “O beloved! Where have you gone?” Radha Rani is the bliss-imparting power of Shri Krishna and Shri Krishna is Her eternal slave.

Douū chāheṁ dou sukh, dhanya dhanya premānand. Piya saṅg sakhā vrind, pyārī saṅg sakhī vrind.
Blessed is the bliss of divine love! My beloved is accompanied by sakhas (friends) and beloved Radha Rani is accompanied by the gopis.

Donoṁ meṁ hai bhedābhed, aiso Rādhā Govind. Chinmay dou pad dvand, kā jāne ‘Kripālu’ mand.
Radha and Govind are separate yet non-different from one another. Says Shree Kripalu, “How can a worldly mind overcome by ignorance know the divine glory of Radha and Krishna’s lotus feet?”
