Sakhin tanu, binu priyatam piyarān.
Without Priyatam, the bodies of the sakhis have become pale.
‘Hā mam prāṇnāth’! kahi ṭerati, herati kuṇj-latān.
They call out to Him, “O Prāṇanāth, the Lord of our lives!” searching in the creeper-filled groves of Vrindavan.
Kit gaye hāy! prāṇ-jīvan-dhan, taji sab Braj-banitān.
They lament, “Where has the Treasure of our lives gone, abandoning us Braj Gopis?”
Khāti na piyati na sovati rovati, chhin-chhin bhari āṁsuvān.
They neither eat, nor drink, nor sleep but spend every moment shedding tears.
Murachhit girat chhinahiṇ-chhin kahi ‘hā!, prānan pyāre Kānha’.
They fall into a swoon constantly and call out again and again, “O Kānha! You who are dearer to us than our lives!”
Kah ‘Kripalu’ rah nit Hari ur mahaṁ, tadapi nain nahiṇ mān.
Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj says, “Although Shyamsundar resides eternally in their hearts, the eyes of the Gopis yearn to see Him in Person.” (This is the difference between a yogi, who is satisfied meditating on the form of God in the heart and the devotee, who wants to witness and participate in His pastimes of love)
Live recorded kirtan in June 2025 from Shree Raseshwari Radha Rani Temple of JKP Radha Madhav Dham, Austin, TX.
