Kahūṁ kā, vā din kī sakhi! bāt.
O Sakhi! How do I describe to you what happened …
Jā din dekhī Nandnaṇdan chhavi, maṇd maṇd musakāt.
… the day I first saw Nandanandana and His gentle smile?
Jin aṃkhiyan dekhī sakhi! so chhavi, soū kahi na sakāt.
Even the eyes that saw that beautiful vision cannot describe it to you.
Aṇg-aṇg prati roop-mādhurī, lakhi anaṇg sakuchāt.
Each and every part of His body had such sweetness of beauty that Kāmdeva would be put to shame if he saw it.
Dekhatahūṁ nahiṃ dekhati sakhi! in, aṃkhiyan jal bhari jāt.
Even though I was looking at Him, I could not see Him because of the tears of love that kept filling my eyes.
Binu dekhehūṃ sakhi! ‘Kripalu’ mohiṇ, ik pal kalap lakhāt.
In the words of Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj, “Now without being able to see Him, each moment is passing like an entire age.”
