Rukmini asked one question to Shri Radha Rani, “You love Shri Krishna as Your Beloved, yes? And all these gopis, who are Your maidservants or who are Your playmates (like) Anuchari, Sahajari, they all love Shri Krishna with the same kind of feeling.”
(Shri Radharani said,) “Yes.”
(Rukmini said,) And you know that Shri Krishna also loved them, exactly as He loves You. He loves them also, in the same way.”
(Shri Radharani said,) “Yes, I know.”
(Rukimini said,) “You are not jealous of them? You think that Shri Krishna is Your beloved? You are the main queen among all the gopis, and all of them love Shri Krishna exactly in the same way, and you don't feel jealous?”
And Shri Radha Rani smiled, and she said, “Chandrama, the moon, is one only, there are not too many moons, but the chakor birds live only by seeing the moon. The moon is their life. If they cannot see the moon, then they will die.”
But just think about it. If one chakor says that I have the full right to look towards the moon, nobody else can look towards the moon, then what will happen to other chakors? They will die. There is only one sun, but we all take the light from Surya, from the sun.
If we do not get the light of the sun, we will become blind. We cannot see anything. So one person cannot have the whole of the sun. Everybody can share that. In the same way, only Shri Krishna is a lovable personality. We all are supposed to love Shri Krishna only, because we all want to attain bliss. And Shri Krishna is rasatama panama. He is rasatama. He is the essence of bliss.
Without loving Shri Krishna, we cannot attain true bliss. So if I say that it is my right only to love Shri Krishna, then what other people will do in this world? They will have to love the worldly people then, and they can never attain bliss then. They will drown in the ocean of this material world. That's why, because they also need love. They also need bliss. That's why they are free.
Everybody is free to love Shri Krishna. Only Radharani can say that. Why? Because Her love is completely selfless. There is no demand of Shri Radharani from Shri Krishna. The material lady cannot tolerate it. Even if some other lady smiles looking towards her husband,
“Who was she? Why was she looking towards you? Why was she smiling, looking towards you? Who was she?”
“Oh, she was my sister!”
“Oh, okay, okay, okay!”
So it cannot be tolerated in the material world, because there is some selfish motive. We need something from each other. That's why we are jealous. But the gopis, Shri Radharani, their love is exclusive love - ananya.
