Mādhav saṇg, Mādhav āyo rī.
O Sakhī! That romantic Mādhava has come with the romantic month of Baisākha (spring).
Chalu Mādhavi! sakhiyan saṇg Mādhav, Mādhavi-kuṇj bulāyo rī.
Come Mādhaviī Kīshori Jī, accompanied by all Your Sakhīs! Mādhava has called us to the Mādhavī kuñja.
Kah Mādhavi ham jānat Mādhav, kuṇjan phāg rachāyo rī.
Kishorī Jī said, “I know Mādhava perfectly well. He actually wants to play Holī in that grove.
Aligan chhalan chahat so chhaliyā, yāte as jani jāyo rī.
That Deceiver is just trying to fool all of you. Therefore do not go unprepared.
Sab Braj nārin lai pichkārin, kaṇchuki māhiṁ durāyo rī.
All of you should carry pichakārīs which you keep hidden in your upper garments.
Kanak kaṭorin bhari-bhari rorin, tāpar kusum sajāyo rī.
Fill rorī in golden bowls, hiding it with flowers.
Kachhu sakhiyan bhari-bhari ghaṭ raṇgan, kuṇjan māhiṁ biṭhāyo rī.
Some Sakhīs should have pots with colored water and should sit hidden in the grove.
Puni tahaṁ jāy raṇg ik saṅgahiṇ, ḍāri gulāl uḍāyo rī.
You should simultaneously attack Him with colored water and also throw the gulāla at the same time.
Puni kou kar, kou pag, kou kaṭi dhari, bāndhi lalihiṇ ḍhig lāyo rī.
After that, surround Him. Someone should catch His hands, someone His feet and someone His waist. Binding Him, you should then bring Him to Me.”
Tahaṁ ‘Kripalu’ banāy dulhaniyāṁ, ghar-ghar jāy dikhāyo rī.
Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj gives his suggestion, “Then, we will dress Him up as a bride and take Him on display to each and every home.”
