Ūdho! Kahyo ihai Balabhāy.
O Uddhav! Convey our message to Balabhaya, the Brother of Balaram,
Gopan, Gopin, gāyan, bachharan, nishidin nīr bahāy.
“The Gopis, Gopas, cows and calves of Braj are shedding tears of separation day and night for You.
Mūrchhit chhiti par girat chhinahiṁ chhin, kahat ‘Kanhaiyā hāy!’
They fall on the ground in a swoon again and again, sighing with great distress, ‘Alas, Kanhaiyā!’
Jyoṁ prathamahiṁ ānaṇd-siṇdhu mahaṇ, diya tiya, patihiṁ bahāy.
Just as He had drowned all the maidens of Braj and their husbands in an ocean of Divine bliss.
Tyoṁ ab virah-siṇdhu mahaṁ dīnī, pati banitādi ḍubāy.
He is now drowning them in an ocean of sorrow in separation from Him.
Bārek āy ‘Kṛipālu’ Shyām Braj, būṛat lehu bachāy.
The Gopis say, in the words of Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj, “Just return once to Your land of Braj and save it from drowning completely (as You had done once before, by lifting Govardhan Mountain, but this time simply by being present before us).”
