Mother Yashoda says, “O Wayfarer! Just tell this much to my Son.
Ab na kabahūṁ kachhu kahahuṁ Lāl soṁ, ek bār ā jāy.
Your mother will not say anything harsh to You ever again. Just give her one more chance, by coming back.
Ūkhal māhiṁ na kabahūṁ bāṁdhihāṁ, kitai urahano āy.
I will never tie Him to the grinding mortar again no matter how many complaints come from the Gopis.
Mākhan chorī te na rokihāṁ, kare joi manbhāy.
I will never stop Him from stealing butter; He can do as He chooses.
Jo kou Braj meṁ Kānha hiṁ chheṛe, vāko dauṁ baṁdhāy.
I will instead bind whoever harasses Him here in Braj!
Moko māy na māne tabahūṁ, nāto māne dhāy.
If He doesn’t see me as His mother, at least let Him look upon me as a woman who fed Him her milk.’”
Imi ‘Kṛipālu’ kahi Yashumati vilapati, dṛig aṁsuvan jhari lāy.
Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj says, “Saying thus, Yashodā Maiyā began to weep bitterly, shedding torrents of tears.”
