People go and they read Panchang. They open books, they go to astrologers, jyotish, psychics. People read hands, some read feet. That’s not where karma is written. Where is karma written? Lalat (forehead).
कह मुनीस हिमवंत सुनु जो बिधि लिखा लिलार।
देव दनुज नर नाग मुनि कोउ न मेटनिहार॥Kah Munīs Himavant sunu jo bidhi likhā lilār.
Dev danuj nar nāg muni kou na meṭanihār.- Ramayan
Yesterday we celebrated Mahashivratri. Naradji was explaining to Himalaya that whatever Brahma, the creator, has written in the destiny of an individual on the forehead, no one can change that. No one. It’s a Divine law.
Somebody tells you they can change it? They are going against God’s law. They can’t do it.
Only—and who can see this? A saint. The true saint, the true Guru.
But he’s not going to tell you. “Huh? He knows, he sees. He’s not going to tell me?” That’s not fair? Yes, it’s fair. Because if he tells you, “You will die next week, on this day, on so-and-so day,” you are going to do everything in your power not to die. You’re going to waste valuable time. You will try everything that you should not die.
Instead, the saint tells us, “You can die any moment. So do what you have to do now. Do not procrastinate.”
Yes, the soul does not die. It does not take birth. It’s eternal.
ममैवांशो जीवलोके जीवभूत: सनातन: । …
Mamaivānśho jīva-loke jīva-bhūtaḥ sanātanaḥ…

Bhagwan Krishna says, “The individual souls are eternal fractions of Myself. Sanātana (eternal).”
And what is the work, what is the aim of the soul? Wanting only. Jīvera ‘svarūpa’ haya - Kṛṣṇera nitya-dāsa. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu says in Chaitanya Charitamrita, the soul is an eternal servant of Krishna.
Our only aim in life is to serve Radha Krishna.
The soul, the jīvātmā (individual soul) - we are a servant of Krishna. So, the soul is immortal, beginningless, never had a beginning, will never have an end.
