Mere nainoṁ ko neelamaṇi, bhāy gayo re.
(A Braj gopi tells her experience of meeting with Krishna to her gopi friend, and says, “My eyes are in love with Krishna, Whose complexion is like the pleasant glow of a blue sapphire.
Saras raseele nain-sain soṁ, prēm-sudhā ras pyāy gayo re.
From one single loving glance of His beautiful eyes He gave me the sweetest nectar of His love (that entered through my eyes and spread all over my being).
Jehi khojat rah raṅk āju lauṁ, soi pāras-maṇi pāy gayo re.
The true love that I was mistakenly searching for in the worldly people like a beggar since eternity, I have now found it in the priceless jewel (of Krishna love forever).
Agalo pichhalo bhayeu bhalo sab, pagalo mohiṁ banāy gayo re.
My past is finished and the future is bright, and in the present life He has made me mad in His love.
Ab soi roop anoop prāṇdhan, tan man prāṇ samāy gayo re.
Now the same charming form of my soul-beloved Krishna has pervaded my body, mind and soul.”
Kah ‘Kripalu’ jab virah pāy tab, kahihau dhokhā khāy gayo re.
Her friend (was listening to the love talks of the gopi. She now) jokingly taunts her and says, “Dear friend! You (are now swelling in the happiness of Krishna’s love, but you should know that you) will also have to suffer the pain of His separation. Then you might say that you may have made a mistake!”
