Here we are hesitating to surrender to the God-realized Saint, hesitating to serve the God-realized Saint. And whereas we’re hesitating, Shree Krishna doesn’t hesitate. He throws Himself at the feet of the God-realized Saint - Bhagwan (Supreme God).
We’re like, “Hmm, should I worship a human being? Should I worship a human being?” Shree Krishna is worshiping the Saint.
अनुव्रजाम्यहं नित्यं पूयेयेत्यङ्घ्रिरेणुभि: ॥
Anuvrajāmyahaṁ nityaṁ pūyeyetyaṅghri-reṇubhiḥ- Bhagwatam 11.14.16
Shree Krishna says, “Your Guru is so great, I follow along behind him.”
“Not to protect him. No, no. Because as he walks, some dust from his footsteps is going to go up in the air. And if I follow along behind him, some of those particles of his foot-dust will fall on My head, and I will be purified by that.”
This is Shree Krishna’s attitude on one side, and then look at our attitude on the other side.
“Should I? Should I not? Is he? Isn’t he? How much should I surrender?”
Here Shree Maharajji is saying, “Do rahat daas doon ko maram na jaane koi.” ( दो रहत दास दूं को मरम न जाने कोई ।) People don’t know this secret, this deep secret, that Shree Krishna eternally desires to serve the God-realized शaint, and the God-realized शaint desires to serve Shree Krishna. They live to serve each other.
Shree Krishna says,
ये यथा मां प्रपद्यन्ते तांस्तथैव भजाम्यहम् ।
Ye yathā māṁ prapadyante tāṁs tathaiva bhajāmyaham.- Gita 4.11
“I do the seva of the one who surrenders to Me.”
Māṁ prapadyante - however you surrender to Me, I will serve you accordingly.
