Dekhu sakhi! jhūmat āvat Shyām
(A Gopi says,) Look, my dear friend! Shyamsundar Krishna is walking leisurely and coming to us.
Gati-madamatt-gayand lajāvat, manbhāvat Brajbām.
The elegance of His walk defies the walk of a young, youthful elephant and delights the hearts of the Gopis.
Jhuki jhuki jhoṁke khāti chandrikā, jhukī grīv dishi bām.
The peacock feather of His coronet (small crown) is swaying with the movement of His gait and His neck is leaning towards the left.
Mukh āvati puni puni laṭ kārī, ghuṁgharārī abhirām.
His beautiful shiny black curls are off and on coming on His face,
Muralī madhur bajāy bulāvat, lai lai sakhiyan nām.
And He is calling the Gopis by their name through the sweet sound of His flute.
Lakhi ‘Kṛipālu’ anupam chhabi lājat, koṭi koṭi śhat Kām.
Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj says in the words of a Gopi that on one single view of this incomparable beauty (of my beloved Krishn), the beauty of billions of Kamdevas is lesser.
Live recorded kirtan in May 2026 during Evening Satsang from Shree Raseshwari Radha Rani Temple of JKP Radha Madhav Dham, Austin, TX.
