The Essence of the Gita - Chapter 2

Swami Nikhilanand Ji

How to watch on TV

This series of lectures was given by Swami Nikhilanand in New York in December, 2012. It is a continuation of the series delivered in New York in May, 2012. In it, he explains chapter by chapter the most important topics of the Gita. In the first chapter, Arjun puts forth his dilemma to Shri Krishna and establishes the qualification for learning the Gita. His dilemma is a familiar one for all of us: the conflict between duty and attachment. Understanding how Arjun's situation is similar to our own is important for understanding how Shri Krishna reconciles the problem and how we can apply that in our own life.

Swami Nikhilanand (www.SwamiNikhilanand.org) is a disciple of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj (www.radhamadhavdham.org/kripaluji-maharaj-hindu-saint-and-true-guru). Swami Nikhilanand resides at Radha Madhav Dham and travels around the U.S., spreading the philosophy of Vedic Sanatan Dham (Hinduism) as revealed by Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj.
