Merī prānan pyārī jāg re.
(Mother Kirti is trying to wake up her little daughter Radha Rani in the morning, and says:) O my soul-loving Radha! Wake up (but Radha is still half asleep and doesn’t want to get up. )
Lālī-Bhānu Bhānu-Lālī lakhu, bagarāvati van bāg re.
O Bhanudulari! See, the morning pink sun is glorifying all the lands, gardens, and the jungles.
Āyo Bhānu jagāvan dhari tanu, vātsalya anurāg re.
The bhanu, the sun, (which has a name like Your father) has himself come to wake You up with parental love in his heart that shines forth as morning pink rays through him.
Mahakat maṇd pavan chahuṁ chahakat, khag van bāg taṛāg re.
Perfumed, mild, and pleasant breeze is blowing, and everywhere in the gardens, jungles, and near the ponds, all kinds of birds are twittering.
Nahiṁ pivāy than surabhin bachharan, parakhat tohiṁ ras pāg re.
My sweet Lali! See. Even the cows are waiting for You. They are not feeding their young. (They want to see You first before they do anything else. In this way, Mother Kirti tried everything but Lali, still, is in no mood of getting up.)
Jab ‘Kripalu’ kah ‘āy Kānh uṭhu’, uṭhīṁ nīnd gai bhāg re.
Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj says, “Then (as her last resort) she said, ‘Radha! Wake up. See, Kanha has come to play with You.” (When She heard Krishna’s name) Her sleep went away and She got up, wide awake.
