Kahuṁ dekhe Yashudā Lāl re.
(A Gopi is asking her friend:) Have you seen Krishn somewhere, the loving son of Yashoda?
Kekī-pakṣh shīsh pai jāke, alakani bikhari gāl re.
The one, Who wears a peacock feather Whose curls fall on His cheeks.
Jāke saras rasīle nainā, kesar tilak subhāl re.
Whose eyes are full of love and Whose forehead is decorated with a saffron mark (tilak).
Jāke kandh lakuṭi aru kāmari, gal kaustubhamaṇi māl re.
Who holds a stick and a fine black blanket on His shoulder (when He goes to jungle to graze the cows) and Who wears a necklace of kaustubh jewel.
Kaṭi kiṅkini pag pāyal jāke, haṁs lajāvani chāl re.
Who wears a jewelled waistband and anklets, and Whose graceful walk ashames the hans.
Jāke aṅg ‘Kripalu’ tribhaṅgī, bainan benu rasāl re.
Who stands with His body elegantly bent at three places, and Who sweetly sings on His flute. (He is my beloved Who I love with my heart and soul).
Live recorded kirtan during the Janmashtami 2025 celebrations from Shree Raseshwari Radha Rani Temple of JKP Radha Madhav Dham, Austin, TX.
