Dharo man Gaur charan ko dhyān
(A devotee says to himself:) O my mind! Remember and meditate upon the fair (lotus) feet (of Radha Rani).
Jin charanan ko rākhat nij ur, Sundar Shyām Sujān
Even the all-virtuous Shyam Sundar holds these feet in His heart (all the time).
Bhaṭakat koṭi kalap tohiṁ bītyo, khāyo sir pad trān
Getting the kickings of the world on your head and the disappointments in your life from your own people you wandered (in this universe) for millions of kalp.
Chār prakār lakh chaurāsī, dvār phiryo janu swān
Greedily looking for physical gratifications like a street dog you always wandered at the doors of all the four kinds of eighty-four lacs* species (but you were never satisfied).
Charan-sharaṇ kabahūṁ nahiṁ āyo, abahūṁ karat na kān
But you never came to take refuge in the Gracious feet (of Radha Rani), and still (after all these sufferings) you are not listening (to the teachings of the rasik Saints).
Yehi darbār dīn ko ādar, patitan ko sanmān
In the presence of Radha Rani every humble soul is honored, and every fallen soul is respected.
Puni ‘Kṛipālu’ man! kat chūkat tum paṇḍit banat mahān
(After all of these assurances,) O my mind! Why are you losing this golden chance and are unnecessarily indulging into intellectuality? (Why don’t you just come with an open heart and mind and drown yourself in Her love forever.)
